Template Description This n8n workflow template allows you to create a masked email address using the Fastmail API, triggered by a webhook. This is especially useful for generating disposable email addresses for privacy-conscious users or for testing purposes. Workflow Details: Webhook Trigger: The workflow is initiated by sending a POST request to a specific webhook. You can include state and description in your request body to customize the masked email's state and description. Session Retrieval: The workflow makes an HTTP request to the Fastmail API to retrieve session information. It uses this data to authenticate further requests. Create Masked Email: Using the retrieved session data, the workflow sends a POST request to Fastmail's JMAP API to create a masked email. It uses the provided state and description from the webhook payload. Prepare Output: Once the masked email is successfully created, the workflow extracts the email address and attaches the description for further processing. Respond to Webhook: Finally, the workflow responds to the original POST request with the newly created masked email and its description. Requirements: Fastmail API Access**: You will need valid API credentials for Fastmail configured with HTTP Header Authentication. Authorization Setup**: Optionally set up authorization if your webhook is exposed to the internet to prevent misuse. Custom Webhook Request**: Use a tool like curl or create a shortcut on macOS/iOS to send the POST request to the webhook with the necessary JSON payload, like so: curl -X POST -H 'Content-Type: application/json' https://your-n8n-instance/webhook/87f9abd1-2c9b-4d1f-8c7f-2261f4698c3c -d '{"state": "pending", "description": "my mega fancy masked email"}' This template simplifies the process of integrating masked email functionality into your projects or workflows and can be extended for various use cases. Feel free to use the companion shortcut I've also created. Please update the authorization header in the shortcut if needed. https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/ac249b50eab34c04acd9fb522f9f7068

What this workflow does This workflow in n8n demonstrates how to send a message in Lark using a Lark bot. It begins with a manual trigger and then retrieves the necessary Lark token via a POST request. The token is used to authenticate and send a message to a specific chat using the Lark API. The input node provides the required app_id, app_secret, chat_id, and message content. After obtaining the token, the message is sent with the Lark API's message/v4/send/ endpoint. Who This Is For This n8n workflow is ideal for organizations, teams, and developers who need to automate message sending within Lark, especially those managing notifications, alerts, or team reminders. It can help users reduce manual messaging tasks by leveraging a Lark bot to deliver messages at specific intervals or based on particular conditions, enhancing team communication and responsiveness. Setup Fill the Input node with your values Exchange the bearer token in the Send Message node with your token Author: Hiroshi

Search music and play to Spotify from Telegram This workflow is a simple demonstration on accessing a message model from Telegram and it makes searching for songs an easy task even if you can't remember the artist or song name. An OpenAI message model tries to figure out the song and sends it to an active Spotify device**. Use case Imagine an office where you play music in the background and the employees can control the music without having to login to the playing account. How it works You describe the song in Telegram. Telegram bot sends the text to n8n. An OpenAI message model tries to find the song. Spotify gets the search query string. First match is then added to queue. -- If there is no match a message is sent to Telegram and the process ends. We change to the next track in the list. We make sure the song starts playing by trying to resume. We fetch the currently playing track. We return "now playing" information to Telegram: Song Name - Artist Name - Album Name. Error handling Every Spotify step has it's on error handler under settings where we output the error. Message parser receives the error and sends it to Telegram. Requirements Active workflow* OpenAI API key Telegram bot Spotify account and Oauth2 API Spotify active on a device** .* The Telegram trigger is activated only if this workflow is active. You can however TEST the workflow in the editor by clicking "Test step" and then it waits for the Telegram event. When event is received, just step through all steps or just clicking "Test step" on the "Fetch Now Playing" node. .** You must have a Spotify device active when trying to communicate with a device. Open Spotify and play something - not it is active.

This n8n workflow automates subdomain creation and deletion on GoDaddy using their API, triggered via email requests. This empowers developers to manage subdomains directly without involving DevOps for minor tasks. Good to know Ensure GoDaddy API credentials are securely configured to avoid unauthorized access. Email parsing accuracy depends on the consistency of request formats. How it works Detect new email requests using the Start Workflow (GET Request) node. Use the Extract Data from Email node to parse relevant details (e.g., subdomain name, action type). Validate the action type with the Validate Action Type node to proceed with create (true) or delete (false). If true, the Create Subdomain node sends a POST request to GoDaddy’s API to create the subdomain. If false, the Delete Subdomain node sends a DELETE request to remove the subdomain. The Send Email Response node notifies the requester of the action’s success or failure. How to use Import the workflow into n8n and configure the nodes with your GoDaddy API and email credentials. Test with sample email requests to ensure proper parsing and API calls. Requirements GoDaddy API credentials Email service (e.g., SMTP or API) for notifications Customising this workflow Adjust the Extract Data from Email node to match your email format or add additional validation steps for security.

How it works This workflow is a hands-on tutorial for the Code node in n8n, covering both basic and advanced concepts through a simple data processing task. Provides Sample Data: The workflow begins with a sample list of users. Processes Each Item (Run Once for Each Item): The first Code node iterates through each user to calculate their fullName and age. This demonstrates basic item-by-item data manipulation using $input.item.json. Fetches External Data (Advanced): The second Code node showcases a more advanced feature. For each user, it uses the built-in this.helpers.httpRequest function to call an external API (genderize.io) to enrich the data with a predicted gender. Processes All Items at Once (Run Once for All Items): The third Code node receives the fully enriched list of users and runs only once. It uses $items() to access the entire list and calculate the averageAge, returning a single summary item. Create a Binary File: The final Code node gets the fully enriched list of users once again and creates a binary CSV file to show how to use binary data Buffer in JavaScript. Set up steps Setup time: < 1 minute This workflow is a self-contained tutorial and requires no setup. Explore the Nodes: Click on each of the Code nodes to read the code and the comments explaining each step, from basic to advanced. Run the Workflow: Click "Execute Workflow" to see it in action. Check the Output: Click on each node after the execution to see how the data is transformed at each stage. Notice how the data is progressively enriched. Experiment! Try changing the data in the 1. Sample Data node, or modify the code in the Code nodes to see what happens.
